SLSCA's truly fearless leader, LueRachelle Brim-Atkins, has been awarded the 2018 VOLUNTEER OF THE YEAR AWARD by Sister Cities International. The award, which is open to over 500 sister city programs nationwide, recognizes the accomplishments of an outstanding individual involved in a community sister city program, promoting peace through mutual respect, understanding, and cooperation.
Sister Cities International Annual Awards are given to a handful of sister city organizations for overall programming and key innovations in various categories. The organization also honors ONE Volunteer of the Year - someone who demonstrates exceptional efforts to advance peace through citizen diplomacy. This year, that person is our LueRachelle! She will be honored during SCI’s 2018 Annual Conference from August 2-4th in Aurora, Colorado.
We couldn't be more pleased to congratulate LueRachelle on all her efforts and to be standing beside her here in Seattle. She extends credit to all SLSCA volunteers and donors for the honor she has received.
